Home!

Well, we all made it home last night. We stopped off in Wichita to trick or treat family members and celebrate Cody's birthday. It was nice. The kids look super cute and are having a blast. Owen didn't feel good yesterday, but perked up when it came time to get treats.

As of this morning, he had spots all over his feet and bottom. Come to find out, he had sores all in his mouth. After a quick trip back to Wichita and the doctor's office, Owen has Foot and Mouth Disease. YUCK! Poor kid. It has been going around Conway, but I have no idea how he was exposed. I guess it is super contagious, so we are home enjoying an afternoon of Days of Our Lives. I think Josh will take tomororow off. I will probably have to take Wednesday off too. It will be awhile before he can go back to daycare.

Our CSHS Volleyball team took first in state again this year. Our boys are into the post season in Football. Always fun to keep up with and watch.

Well, I had better get to working on my papers, reviews and summaries for class. Collection Development here I come!

class

Okay...I am sitting in class wondering when our next break will be. I am so thankful that I have my computer today. So rather than listening to the teacher, I am blogging.

I am currently taking a class that is responsible for teaching me how to blog, and instead of listening, I am totally absorbed in creating my personal blog. I have to wonder why I am so absorbed in this. I guess as a teacher of English, I appreciate the helpfullness of journaling. I guess I understand why it is useful to a person. I also have always liked writing my thoughts. It is intriguing that I am posting these thoughts about everything for anyone out there to read. Will anyone read this? Hello? Doubtful!

I have a feeling that this might just become addicting.

Here we go....

I love my life. For the most part, I am living the exact life that I had always hoped for. I live on a farm in south-central Kansas. We are out in the middle of nowhere, and that is exactly how we prefer it to be. I love having space for my kids to explore, ponds, cows and a lifestyle that is significantly less stressful than most other mothers.

I say less stressful, but don't let that fool you. Stress is still a major part of my life. It seems out of place considering I live in such a serene part of the country, but it is a factor in my life that I can't ignore. I have come to realize just how hard it is being a farm wife, mother, teacher and busy student. But would I have it any other way? No, I guess not.

There is one thing that will significantly cut back on my stress level. When I get home this weekend, all of the electrical issue will finally be eliminated in my house. I am most excited about finally having a microwave! YEA!

Welcome to the World According to Court

Welcome to my world! I can only assume that you are wondering why you should care about the happenings in my life. Well, maybe you won't, and that is fine with me. However, maybe the thoughts, rants and insights that I have to offer will appeal to you.
