Owen Turns 2!

Our baby is 2! Our family must think we live in a mansion with the amount of toys they bestowed on this little tyke. Tractors, cars, trucks...you name it. The best part was that Mommy replaced the murdered JD tractor with a new one. Owen, having just learned to ride the old one, was in heaven when he saw the huge box. He really enjoyed his birthday, and that is super fun to watch.
He currently has 15 words. I was hoping for a lot more by now. I don't know if it is the boy thing or the second child thing, but whatever it is, I wish I knew how to make it better. Emory had so many more at this age. I shouldn't compare, but it is just what I know. Just in the last week though, he has added 4 new words....Gee, E (for emory), jump and Nana (babysitter's daughter, Savannah). I am hoping it will all just fall out of his mouth real soon. I am ready to really communicate with him!

Emory's tractor...RIP

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

It was a dark and cold evening in Mayfield when Emory's favorite battery-powered JD tractor raged against the dying of the light. Unfortunately, it did not rage enough...may it rest in peace.
In a mindless rush, Joshua ran it down in cold blood. The crunch could be heard from within the house. We all jumped to our feet to see the large, white dodge backing away from the plastic carcus. Oh how Emory and Owen cried, wailed and pointed in disbelief! Oh how Mommie yelled with her arms through the window at the large ,white dodge at it retreated from the scene. Such a sad, sad day for all. Beware of large, white dodges with crazy drivers behind the wheel. I feel that the JD tractor needs to be remembered when it was the happiest....

Grey's Anatomy...My Favorite Show

So...are you all watching this yet? Why aren't you? It is now my favorite show! I look so forward to Sunday nights at 9.

The episode after the superbowl was the most watched post superbowl show ever! And then part 2 last Sunday...did you see it? Awesome! People are calling a great mix of Scrubs and ER. Check out the Grey's Anatomy blog GreyMatter http://www.greyswriters.com/ . It will help you catch up and give you inside information about the writers; their reasons, thinking, etc. Too fun. Watch this Sunday and let me know what you think!
